WELCOME TO ICESD 2019
Makassar, November 28th 2019
The 1st International Conference Environment and Sustainable Development (ICESD) 2019 is a conference organized by Environmental Research and Development Center (PSL), Hasanuddin University, Indonesia in cooperation with Department Geology, Department Geophysics, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management Hasanuddin University .
The 1st ICESD will be held in Makassar, the capital city of South Sulawesi Province of Indonesia, on November 28th 2019, with the main theme Environmental Quality Degradation: Turning Point to Sustainable Economics, Ecology and Equity. It is aimed to bring together scholars, researchers and experts from diverse backgrounds and application areas and share their experience. Special emphasis is placed on promoting interaction between the theoretical and experimental study, so that an exchange of ideas in new and emerging areas within environmental science, geoscience, physics, bio-science, computational science, mathematics in science and technology will occur.
Researchers from universities, institutions and industries, working on various fields of science and application are invited to attend or to participate in the conference. Presented, refereed and accepted papers will be published in the Journal Conference Series(on going to be signed), which will be indexed by Scopus.
The encompassed (but not limited to) topics of the 1st ICESD 2019 are:
- Impact of economic growth to environmental quality degradation;
- Implementation of ecological principles to SDGs;
- Local wisdom’s prospects to strengthen path way to sustainability;
- Green environment and sustainable development
- Community development through gender equity.
